The D Company - Part 1

It was third semester of my Masters degree though I have no clue on how I reached there but then to. The day was November 27th, 2009 and every person of my class was busy studying as exams were going. The hostel rooms were freezing and after the usual tea session we were in our rooms. Some people were studying, some trying to study and people like me were shuffling through the syllabus with my friend KS in his room (adda), while one other person DV was sleeping tight in his dreams of bikes and car games.
Then suddenly my phone rang, the display says CM calling. CM is one of my very good friends and her call at this time, means something is urgent. I picked up the call while KS started giving me looks, because I left the most important work of finding out the syllabus. As soon as I said HELLO , CM in over excited tone yelled, “You know what?” I asked “what”. She continued “A company is visiting our campus after two days, i.e. 30th November.” I said “WHAT!!!” She said “Yes”. After listening to my WHAT!! KS stopped giving me looks, as he understood something is wrong. Now he was looking at me, as if the Prime Minister of India has resigned and HE would be called for. I cut the phone and started giving looks to KS. KS was waiting for me, to say something. I was mum; don’t know what I was thinking. The room was silent after the call.
Then the silence was finally broken by KS’s words “Ab kuch bologe, ya maun vrat rakh liye ho” (Bihari ascent and Kanpuriya ascent combined). As soon as I tried to utter, the room door was banged open. And guess what, Mr Cris Gayle has arrived, with his typical Indori smile and a same question “Abey kitna kar liya” KS ignored Gayle’s question and asked me again. Then I started, “D company is visiting our campus after two days”. As soon as I finished, sleeping beauty DV woke up from his dreams, as if he was out of fuel on a long bike drive. DV in his Kanpuriya tone “ Aisa hai Bakwaas na karo, padh lo”. Gayle started to think of something, then said “ Are you sure”. I said yes, got the news from a very reliable source.
Now the four of us, were silent, not even thinking about the exam, but were looking at each other. We thought we were the first one to receive the news, so we should go and tell everyone. We went out and to the Intellect and his Son’s room. We opened the door and found that a big group was sitting there. The strange fact was that, they were not studying, not even the Son. I thought, something is not right here. As soon as KS was about to open his mouth to give the big news, Son with sense of proud and ownership, said “ D is coming to campus, day after tomorrow, so prepare yourself”. I was still confused, that how he knows it. Anyways I thought, and said “ya even I came to know”. So, I said “best of luck guys”.
We four went out of the room, with a feeling that now we have a chance to get a job. The countdown has begun. We went back to our adda and tried to study something, but no success. After fiddling with the syllabus and books for at least 3 hours, we thought of having food. The mess food was awesome as usual. I said “I am not in a mood for dinner right now, so guys can go and have it”. I went back to my room (DEN). Gayle also joined me. Bangali Babu (BB) my roommate was studying hard and making notes in the small hand writing. I told BB the news about D company, but got a very cold reaction, as he already knew it. I thought maybe I am the last person who now knows the news.
KS and DV said they are going to have some herbal air, so they left. Me and Gayle, started going through our CV and different stuff, to see where we stand.
At around 11:00 p.m. KS came to my room with a confused but sarcastic face. We asked “what happened?” After a stupid and weird reaction from KS, he said “pata hai!!”, I asked” What”, He continued “ List tayar hui hai (A list has been prepared)”. I said “List”, “of what”.
Then Mr. KS continued, “ The probable top 10 of the class, who could get the job offer by D company”. Gayle said “what is this all about”. KS in detail “The intellect group has prepared a list of the students of our class, who are THE top probable candidates for the D company.” I said “wow!! Is it”. He said yes. I asked who all are there in the list. And to my surprise, I was honored. Yes!! I was given the place in the list. There were some other names, like the two girl toppers, me, Punjabi boy, Bangali Babu, and some others, which I still don’t know, because neither I was the custodian of the list nor the part of THE INTELLECT GROUP. And yes, one more thing that “ACCESS TO THE LIST WAS RESTRICTED”. The obvious question from Gayle, “how come you know about the list”. KS now with a complete sarcastic smile “ I eavesdropped. I knew that something was happening few days back, but today got confirmed as he had a straight encounter with some of the verbal members of the intellect group at MALIK (the night dhaba “our life savior)”. Gayle was tensed as he was not given a place in top 10, as well as KS. But they were in top 20. Only me and DV were given the place in top 10.
I don’t know how to react. I was blank to this entire list and everything. Gayle started “Yaar thik haii, tum logon ka ho jayega, mere kya hoga?” I said “we will discuss it after the paper”. We again started to fiddle with books. DV was now in full senses. He laid down on my bed, as was bugging me, that I should dictate him the syllabus which I have read. I started it, and it continued for an hour or so. It was already 2:00 a.m. I said I am sleepy , and whatever happens in the exam , we will see. I switched off the light and jumped on the bed with DV (no wrong deeds ). In the morning, around 7:30 a.m. my door was banged open again. It was Gayle again (I think he has been inspired by Daya of CID) with his smile. He jumped upon us with same questions “kar liya na tum logon ne?”, “abbey mujhe bhi bata do” “Aur Mr happy go lucky so chukka tu”. ((Happy go lucky was the name given by Gayle to DV for some reasons). I got up irritated and pushed both of them down on the floor. BB on the other bed was smiling loud. He don’t laugh, rather smile loud. I got up and went to the bathroom. There I found few members of the Intellect group. I was given a different smile, when I walked in the wash room. For few seconds I did not understand that smile, then suddenly, “dimaag ki batti jali”. I thought I am the honored one. I did not bother to ask the reason of that smile, and behave normally as if I don’t know anything. I brushed my teeth, as soon as I can and went back to my Den. I entered the room and found, that DV has left and Gayle was now switching between mine’s and BB’s notes, as if in the whole night we would have developed a secret formula for the paper. I went to KS room to see, if he was awake. I knocked at his door. He opened the door, with a sign to be quite. I did not notice, but Gayle was also with me. KS asked to talk, but Gayle started “aur be, kar liya na sab kuch tune”. This statement was like, throwing a stone at a sleeping tiger. KS gave a look, but Gayle was still smiling.

Information Security : : Do we Know about it????

There is always an issue arising about how secure we are against the different terrorist attacks. In India only we have witnessed record breaking attacks. Whether it is on the Parliament or it is Akshar Dham or the attack in Mumbai. At all these times the terrorists have used the different modes of communication (the most secure one which our intelligence were not able to break it).
We have been fighting a war against terrorism for a very long time. The terrorist have also equipped themselves with the latest technological enhancements. Now they are using satellite phones, computer gadgets etc. and last but the least they are making use of the uneducated(technically) population of ours. So we are fighting not only a war with weapons but also the cyber war, which itself is very devastating.

Now the questions arise: first Why the cyber attack or war is devastating? The simple answer is that we are now very much dependent upon the technology.
And second question is Is it simple to launch a cyber attack?
the answer what I think is YES because the common man is not educated. He knows how to use a computer but he doesn't know how to keep it secure.

In the today’s scenario a 4 year child can use the mobile phone, computer or different gadgets which are made available to him BUT do he know the consequences or threats which are related to it and which could harm us in any possible way. This points towards one thing that is Security or Information Security.
Not only is the child even the well educated people also not aware with this fact.

Why this is happening?
It is due to the abundance of IT in our lives and the lack of our knowledge towards it.Today the lowest earning people are having mobile phones but they are not aware that their non-education can harm in a big way as what we witnessed in Malegaon attack, where the Wi-Fi IP of the family was hacked and the message was communicated with ease. The reason was that the family was not aware of the technicality of the system like how many ports are open, what is the range of the Wireless etc.
The above mentioned is a crime which a bit sophisticated but what about the crimes which go unnoticed like Spamming, Phishing and many more. Any mail comes and if it says that you have won prizes , we tend to answer it immediately with our credentials without even thinking twice or verifying it, and later on we face consequences. And this all is happening due to the non-education of ours towards the Information Security.

Information Security Education doesn’t mean that having the degree and getting the job but rather it means the implementation of what we have studied through our experience and be aware of the latest threats.

This should start from the very root level when the kid starts using the computers or mobile phones. Its not that to be after him to learn Info-Sec but give him a step by step progress as it is with the computer education. The Info-Sec should be included in the course curriculum from the very beginning rather learning it in graduation or after graduation. By this the children or people coming out of the schools have a basic knowledge of this domain. Information Security is not the domain rather it has become the necessity of the Present world.

The Fight for existence

this is for all those people who some or the other way think they are good enough but then also they have to fight to themselves to show the most cultured society of ours, that they also exist.

Taking from the basics. when a person is a kid , the intelligence of his is judged by the percentage of marks. If he is not first in the class then the Honor of being intelligence cant be awarded to him/her...(phew!!!!!). and of course when you are not intelligent , you cant be noticed. any ways one chance down.
now we see the other chance. the person got the consolation prize in some of the quiz contest and won the first prize in sports. the society is not bothered of the first prize , rather its making chaos about the consolation prize. the first prize chance also went in vain.

the person now gets admission for higher studies in some or the other college. there he was recognized very soon.....not because that he was scoring good but rather he was good player... he became the captain of the college team...BUT again this heart breaking society is not convinced again........ ((the person is fighting on and on just to show that he is also in the same society and havnt been recognised yet. the only negative point he has that he had not come first in studies.....BUT HE IS NOT DUMB....HE HAS A DIFFERENT APPROACH>>>>))

But then a miracle happened.....He is now very much appreciated.....What had happened??
Then came the news that he got placement.... ...Now our most intelligent society starts praising the person for the achievement .....as they were knowing it that he surely would get placed..

So the definition of Intelligence for our society lies in 1) the marks you scored
2) the college you got
3)Finally the package you got.

the person is never intelligent when 1) he came first in sports/arts/other then studies.
2) he didnt get admission in IITs or NITs... and many more......

And finally the whole life of ours passes through in making the society happy but it can never be done....................

YE MERA INDIA!!!

""What should I call myself ? UP wala, Marathi, Bihari, Tamilian, Anadhraite or any other identity which the states of the Gr8 India has given me. Why I feel shy to call my self an Indian, the country which has given identities to so many states.""

""Hindi is not our national language"" as been quoted by many Big Bosses of the different states. Then please let us which is our national language? Is it Tamil , or Telegu, or Marathi or Malyalam . Which is it, please do let us know.

Some people of the gr8 Maharashtra are deeply pissed off by the people of different states, specially from the north.
beacuse the north Indians are hard working or North Indians are more intelligent , or North Indians can adjust themselves in any condtions, but WHY?
They say that the Northies have snatched their jobs , their bread n butter. I want to ask that how have they done that ? Just because they are North Indians they got the job or they really deserved thats why they got it.

A very high number of people from North clear the Public Sector exams every year. Do the Northies stop you from studying or is there a Quota for them ?

They say their state is very dignified , ofcourse it is. Because only there you can come down and slap a MP or MLA just because he was taking oath in Hindi. Wow !! very nice people.

Just to fill the vote banks , some Big Bosses are playing with people of their so called own state. Nothin gonna effect them , but the only victims are the innocent people. They are playing the same politics as the Britishers had played , i.e Divide n Rule.

JAAGO INDIA JAAGO , stop fighting among yourselves for no reason.
Stop saying Marathi, Bihari , tamil etc. Start saying INDIAN, then only India would be India Shining otherwise India Drowning.

Jai Hind!!!

WHY???

I only have the question in mind that WHY??

and that is for the Mumbai Bomblast Culprit Kasab.

Why is his trial still going on? Why not the is he given the death sentence straight away after the interrogations? Why is he still kept safe and had been given a lawyer to defend himself? And what will happen if he is free again?
The over generosity is also harmful. India is the democratic country. No doubts, every citizen has the full rights to defend himself if he is infront of the Court of Law. But I dont think that Kasab is the Citizen of India. He is the enemy of India and the peace . And like every enemy he should be killed or destroyed. He is neither a POW nor he had committed a small crime. So why is he given the chance. He never thought twice before coming to India and killing innocent people.
Due to our negligence the terrorist again and again attack. For some time the we are all against that attack, we condemn it , we want to destroy the source of attack, but what happened. The Culprits and the Master Minds are still alive. Like Kasab , Afzal and I am sure there would be many more like these.
Why these people are treated as the guests, rather they should be treated as the intruders which should be either stopped on the gate itself or by chance if thy enter, they should be finished.

We use Pest Controls for our houses , and what we do? We finish the bugs, insects .
The terrorists should also be treated as the same . They dont have any right to enter our houses.

So please India have the pest control and finish the intruders rather than keeping them safe in the cells.

Jai Hind!!!!

Team India Out of the World Cup T20....What went wrong?

This is really sad and shocking to see the early exit of Favorites that is our Team India. Mahi Army never looked like winning any match. Their body language said that all. When fighting against West Indies , the only concern they had was the Cris Gayle. I think they forgot that there are other players as well who were in the great touch. And Bravo proved it with his bat. Mr. M.S Dhoni , please rather than having so many bats please try to score as well. Thanks to Harbhajans quick fire 12 , which helped India to reach a respectable total. Our Bowling department except Zaheer Khan and Harbhajan no body seems to having any interest of improving himself. The Lanky Fast Bowler Ishant Sharma who had a success in Australia got more complements than what he deserved, which is now on his head. Irfan Khan slowed down his pace for line and length, but had lost both.
The Indians failed to capitalized on the early break through they got. Fielding was horrible.

Match II Vs England.
Bowling again a issue in the death overs. Gave away too many extras that proved to be the difference in the end. Compared to England Bowling attack which was more disciplined and with a certain plan. Like West Indies , England also checked the Indian Batsmen with Short Deliveries. For which India had no answer. Seen with Rohit Sharma and Suresh Raina. I dont know what were they trying to do. Its always said that look out for first 5-6 deliveries you face then start making your shots. But both these batsmen were in great hurry I guess. The biggest blunder is the move by Mr. Dhoni is sending Ravindra Jadega before Yuvraj. Yuvraj the inform batsman , and the deadliest for England had to wait. He was the best at No. 4 and was familiar with that kind of pressure. One cant expect a new batsman playing in the do or die match to be without pressure.Ravindra Jadeja no doubts a good batsman but no at that pressure time.

What any one can say more its just Mr.Dhoni learn from your mistakes and see the World Cup final with us in India on our TV sets.

Good Luck Team India!!!!
